Luke 24:5-6
The resurrection of Jesus is revelation that God uses setbacks as set ups for come up.
The grave represents a season of immobility.
The grave represents a season of isolation.
God said you will reap what you sow, not where you sow.
This is the reason for you to be loved and loyal to, the way you have been loyal and loved other people.
Sometimes God will knock you off your schedule to knock you onto His.
Sometimes God orchestrates a hold up to set you up for something you would’ve missed, if you had gone when you wanted to.
He will cause you to get behind schedule so that you can stay on schedule.
God is the Redeemer of time.
3 Ways to Handle Setbacks:
Culture’s Way- Escape it ; when I find something to distract me instead of letting it develop
Church’s Way- Accept it ; wearing my suffering like a badge, but never asking God if He wants to turn it into a breakthrough
King’s Way- Elevate from it ; the pain grows me, I’m wiser because of it
3 Things The Goat Did:
Had Discernment - Discern what should die. When you go thru pain, something will die. It’s up to you to make sure it’s the right thing. Let your pride die, but not your purpose. Did my faith, peace, and joy survive? Or did I let the adversity assassinate the wrong thing?
Depart from Dead Places- Jesus didn’t stay in the tomb and neither can we. Sometimes we are too loyal to the location of our last loss.- A Word!
Don’t Lose Hope- Hope is expectation ; Hope is nothing else than the expectation of those things which faith has believed to be truly promised by God. Faith believes God to be true, hope awaits the time when this truth will be manifested.
If it hasn’t happened yet, it’s not Sunday yet. -A Word!
When Sunday comes, it will be exactly what God said.
