Isaiah 54:17- “No weapon formed against you shall prosper..this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me…”
The enemy fights anointed people differently.
You’re not just dealing with obstacles, when you’re anointed you are dealing with opposition.
The greater your calling, the more strategic the attacks come.
The enemy doesn’t use the same attacks on everyone, he tailors his attacks based on your gifts, purpose, and weaknesses.
Your fight is different because your future is different.
Obstacles vs Opposition:
A lack of spiritual intelligence will cause you to confused obstacles with opposition, which leads to either unnecessary frustration or wasted energy.
Not everything in your way is the enemy.
Somethings are meant to develop you, while other are designed to destroy you.
Obstacles
Definition:Challenges that test your ability to persist, grow, an develop
Source:Life, God’s process, or natural circumstances
Purpose:To prepare and strengthen you for the next level
Response:You overcome obstacles through wisdom, patience, and discipline.
Opposition
Definition:Attacks specifically designed to stop or derail you from fulfilling your purpose
Source:The enemy [spiritual warfare], people used by the enemy, or systems set against your purpose
Purpose:To intimidate, distract, or destroy you before you reach your assignment.
Response:Your discern opposition and fight it with spiritual strategy, not just strength.
Biblical Context:
Jonah prayed, but God didn’t stop the storm because it was an obstacle.
God will never take you out of something that He can develop you in.
Obstacles develop you, opposition distracts you.
God sends obstacles bc there is a part of you that is under developed. If you don’t possess spiritual intelligence, you will see it as a problem vs a present.
Sometimes God gifts us through failure, loss, rejection, and denial, to prepare us for our next level.
Obstacles are placed before you as part of the process to strengthen you.
Opposition-strap up [with your Word]; devil get out of my life.
Obstacle-lean in [to Him]; God whatever You’re doing..
Opposition is sent against you to prevent your progress.
Your obstacles help you to overcome your opposition.
Opposition = Opposite [of where I’m going]
Biblical Context: Goliath was opposition, not just an enemy. He was assigned to stop the people of Israel’s destiny.
If David had confused his obstacles with opposition, he would have quit before he got to Goliath.
Obstacles are tests, opposition is warfare.
Obstacles are tests of our ability, endurance, and faithfulness.
3 Types of Intelligence:
EQ [Emotional Intelligence]
SQ [Spiritual Intelligence]
IQ [Intelligence]
The key is know which to use in what situation.
Before we complain about something being too hard, we should ask God- is this training or an attack?
Opposition is warfare designed to break your faith, confidence, or commitment.
Examples of obstacles- Tithing + Fasting
The enemy is strategic-
“Turn these stones into bread…”- Why?
Bc He was fasting, the enemy wanted to tempt him with something that would stop His fast aka stop Him from progressing…
Obstacle- Fasting
Opposition- The enemy’s temptation
The enemy made an attempt to manipulate Him into forfeiting His purpose.
He appeared while Jesus was at His weakest. Weak eyes don’t see clear..
The lesson- you don’t get opposed until you’re close to something powerful.
SQ Move-Opposition usually intensifies right before breakthrough. Recognize the difference between a process you need to endure and an attack you need to resist.
Obstacles require strength, opposition requires strategy.
You will fail some obstacles-it’s ok!! [Conviction] wins!
Obstacles require patience, resilience, and skill.
Opposition requires wisdom, spiritual strategy, and discernment.
SQ Move- Not everything deserves your energy. Obstacles require effort, but opposition requires spiritual wisdom, to know when to walk away.
Obstacles are about you, opposition is about your impact.
Obstacles are designed to refine your skills, patience, and character.
Opposition is a sign that what you’re doing a threat to something bigger than you.

The pit was an obstacle, he had to endure the process of his development. His brother’s hate for him was due to what he represented.
Sometimes opposition isn’t about you, it’s about the anointing that is on your life and how it threatens others.
SQ Move- Recognize when opposition isn’t personal, it’s prophetic.
MOVE DIFFERENT!
If we aren’t careful in how we view obstacles, we will become bitter with God instead of learning from Him.-This is why we must pray for spiritual discernment.
