Peer pressure is when the people God places around you begin to demand more for you than you’re currently demanding of yourself
Surrounded vs Supported
Being surrounded gives you company, being supported helps your calling.
What if you’re going in circles because of your circle?
4 Types of Ppl You Need:
Collaborator- Helps you go forward ; Amos 3:3
Elevator- Some people aren’t just friends, they’re favor, they not only help you go forward, but they help you go higher
Accelerator- Help you get further, faster; mentors, leaders..
Agitator-They help you go deeper
Paralyzed- What area in your life has become stuck?
Be careful how you label seasons prematurely, because how you label it will determine your life in it.
They had a “whatever it takes” mindset- ‘if we have to climb the roof to reach Him, WE WILL!’
His friends knew their limitations- they knew how to help him and when to turn him over to Jesus. -A Word
They didn’t give up on him, they gave him up to God.
“Their faith has made you whole”- Stay connected to people who have faith to come in when your faith ran out.
Delegated faith- we hit seasons that we don’t have the faith to believe for ourselves, so we have to be connected to people whose faith can carry us to Jesus.
Intercession is not just praying for someone, it’s praying as someone. It’s standing in the gap.
vs.20-
He had to fix his heart, before he fixed his physical condition- he had to change what was in him. Had he just fixed his legs, he would’ve walked right back into what God was bringing him out of.
He was then given instruction- “pick up your mat..”
What he used to depend on, God gave him dominion over.
